Start with the business workflow

What Needs to Work Before Anything Moves?

Moving a server does not automatically improve a business process. We start with the people, applications, information, and connections behind your work, then evaluate whether cloud, on-site, or a hybrid approach fits.

01 · PRODUCTIVITY

Access to Everyday Work

Review how staff reach email, documents, business applications, and shared information across locations. Identify access problems, manual workarounds, and connectivity constraints.

02 · CONTINUITY

Dependable Business Operations

Map what happens when an internet connection, application, or provider is unavailable. Define recovery priorities and practical options for continuing essential work.

03 · CONTROL

Visible Costs & Responsibilities

Understand recurring charges, licensing, support ownership, and data movement costs. Establish who approves changes and reviews spending as the business grows.

Cloud services

Plan, Move, and Manage With Clear Ownership.

The right scope depends on your applications, existing environment, staff, and business requirements. We evaluate platform fit across services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, with specialist involvement where required.

Cloud Readiness & Strategy

Review business goals, applications, dependencies, connectivity, security needs, and operating costs. Compare practical options and define what should be assessed before a migration decision.

Migration Planning & Coordination

Plan agreed application and data moves, vendor involvement, testing, cutover windows, and rollback steps. Coordinate staff communication and validate priority workflows before handover.

Identity & Secure Access

Review MFA, administrative privileges, role-based access, and onboarding and offboarding. Define approved remote access and responsibility for cloud account changes.

Backup & Recovery Planning

Identify what your provider protects and what remains your responsibility. Define backup coverage, retention, recovery priorities, and agreed restoration checks for supported systems.

Cost Visibility & Governance

Review billing, resource usage, licensing, ownership tags, and budget alerts. Identify unused capacity and changes to evaluate against performance and business requirements.

Ongoing Cloud & Hybrid Support

Support agreed configurations, monitoring, maintenance, vendor escalation, and documentation. Coordinate connections between cloud applications, office networks, and remaining on-site systems.

Supported platforms, systems, support hours, monitoring, response targets, migration activities, and third-party responsibilities are defined in the agreement. Application redevelopment, specialist architecture, and complex integrations require an explicit scope.

A clear place to begin

A Cloud Readiness Review With Practical Next Steps.

Understand the Current Position

Discuss your business units and the applications they depend on. Review agreed workloads, data locations, user access, connectivity, licensing, vendor restrictions, and growth requirements.

Evaluate latency, availability needs, integration dependencies, recovery expectations, and options for moving data back or to another provider.

Leave With a Decision Framework

A separately scoped assessment can produce an application inventory, dependency map, risk register, placement recommendations, preliminary cost model, and phased migration roadmap.

The introductory conversation helps define the review. Detailed assessment, technical design, implementation, and provider charges are separately scoped.

From application to migration wave

Move Connected Workloads in a Planned Sequence.

Illustrative Example: A Document-Heavy Business Team

Business workflow: staff create documents, obtain approvals, and share records with clients. Files, identity, permissions, and business application links must continue working together.

Planning approach: map the workflow → confirm application and licensing support → design access and data protection → pilot with an agreed group → validate permissions and integrations → migrate in approved waves → verify and hand over.

Illustrative workflow only; not a client result. Compatibility, transfer duration, staff training, downtime, and rollback feasibility must be validated. A migration does not include an implied promise of savings or uninterrupted service.

Clear accountability

Know Who Owns Each Part of the Cloud.

Bream

Coordinates the agreed assessment, configuration, migration, support, documentation, and improvement priorities. Tracks responsibilities across your business and technology providers.

Cloud & Application Providers

Operate the services covered by their contracts. Infrastructure availability does not replace your responsibility for access, application settings, data protection, and recovery planning.

Your Leadership Team

Approves budgets, access, data requirements, operational changes, and risk decisions. Your application owners and designated advisers help validate business, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Relevant to your operations

Cloud Planning Shaped Around the Work You Do.

Healthcare & Financial Services

Review application vendor requirements, sensitive information handling, staff access, data location, and recovery responsibilities. Establish the appropriate contractual and access arrangements before work begins.

Legal & Manufacturing

Review confidential document access, large files, ERP/MRP connections, site connectivity, and latency-sensitive workloads. Specialist equipment and production systems require explicit scope and vendor coordination.

A practical improvement cycle

Understand. Design. Migrate. Review.

01 · DISCOVER

Define the Outcome

Discuss the business need, critical workflows, current costs, and constraints.

02 · DESIGN

Compare the Options

Review workload placement, dependencies, security, recovery, and expected costs.

03 · IMPLEMENT

Validate the Change

Agree on scope, pilot, testing, cutover, rollback, and staff handover.

04 · REVIEW

Track the Result

Review usage, spending, performance, access, and ongoing support needs.

Scope & investment

Understand the Full Cost of Your Cloud Plan.

Separate assessment and migration fees, recurring support, provider usage, licensing, backup, connectivity, and third-party work. Cost models should state assumptions and include likely data transfer, storage, and recovery costs.

Cloud provider consumption varies with usage and configuration. Bream’s proposal defines its service fees and any separately scoped work. Potential savings require validation against your current costs and business requirements.

Common questions

Make an Informed Cloud Decision.

Should every application move to the cloud?

No. Placement depends on application support, latency, integrations, data requirements, costs, and recovery needs. Some workloads may remain on-site or use a hybrid design.

Can you work with our existing IT team and software vendors?

Yes. We define which activities Bream owns and which remain with your internal team, cloud provider, and application vendors. Access and change approvals are agreed before work begins.

Will cloud reduce our costs?

It may improve flexibility or remove certain equipment costs, but lower total spending is not guaranteed. We compare operating costs, licensing, migration effort, support, data movement, and growth assumptions.

Does cloud automatically protect or back up our data?

No. Provider resilience, backup, retention, and recovery are different responsibilities. We review the selected services and define the additional protection and recovery checks your business needs.

Can we migrate without downtime?

Expected disruption depends on the applications, data volume, vendor capabilities, and connectivity. The plan defines testing, maintenance windows, communication, validation, and a feasible rollback approach.

What happens during the first conversation?

We discuss your business goal, key applications, locations, users, current concerns, and timeline. Bring a high-level overview and vendor contacts; do not send credentials or sensitive business data.
